The 2023 Chipotle campaign was built around the brand’s “Real Food for Real Athletes” platform, spotlighting the power of fresh, real ingredients to fuel performance. The goal was to inspire the next generation of athletes by sharing authentic stories and training journeys from a diverse group of pro and college athletes. By doing so, Chipotle connected with health-conscious Millennials and Gen Z sports fans who want food that fits their active lifestyles.

Our hybrid team of UX designers, art directors, copywriters, and web developers partnered with Chipotle's AOR Venables Bell + Partners to create a content-driven commerce platform that showcased athlete favorites, highlighted menu customization, and tied in community support through partnerships with college programs like Ohio State and USC. The result was a seamless blend of storytelling and "shoppable" moments that made it easy and exciting for consumers to engage and order. 

 

The campaign earned solid national press, sparked social buzz, and boosted app engagement, strengthening Chipotle’s reputation as the go-to for craveable, real food that supports health, performance, and community. The Real Food for Real Athletes campaign wasn’t just about menu items; it was a smart mix of brand purpose, athlete marketing, and authentic connection.
